Welkom op de website van de internationale stage rsg broklede!
welcome to the website about the international internship at rsg broklede!
On this website you will find all necessary information about the international internship that students of the 5TVWO class at RSG Broklede do. On the left hand side you find an introduction page first, which explains the internship, the learning goals and the planner. Each of the steps taken during the internship then has an individual page containing more information about that step. As the programme our students follow is bilingual, the website is offered both in Dutch as in English; each page can be found on the left hand side in both languages.
Are you a company or would you like to know more about the internship that our students might be doing with you? We then refer you to the school's introduction letter at the bottom of the page 'step 3. Arranging an internship placement'. Alternatively, you can also contact our bilingual education department responsible for the internship through [email protected].
Veel plezier!
Enjoy!

Uit verslagen van voorgaande leerjaren/ From internship reports of previous years
"The internship at the Nordic Optical Telescope gave me a good impression of a possible career. I now feel more confident in my knowledge of this career which is going to make it easier for me to progress towards a future education."
"Since Bali is 12000 kilometers from the Netherlands, the cultural aspects are unimaginably different. For example, it is strange for a white male to do labor in Bali. The other employees of the resort found it quite strange that I as a white male was their colleague."
"The workers in the factory work more than 12 hours a day. It sounds really long of course, however this is just normal to Chinese workers."
"During this experience, I learned not only about the struggles that come with moving to the Netherlands as a former refugee, but also about the hope and resilience that come with integrating into a foreign country. (...)Through my experiences during this internship, I feel that I gained a lot of personal development on both a social and emotional level."
"My impression of the law firm was that it was very busy even though it is a small organisation. Everyone was calling and typing all day. However, at lunch, I talked to some of the partners and associates and their life stories are crazy. It was an eye-opener and I realised doing my math homework at 9 pm isn’t that big of a deal."
"For my internship, I had to live alone for a week on an island where I knew no one. This is quite a risk, but helped me become more independent."
“Work on the ship is comparable to in the military, I learned to accept authority, even when they are incorrect ;) Another important fact I realized is that my life is fairly easy compared to the crew, who work at full potential for an awfully long time without seeing their children.”
“The most I have learnt from the week of work experience is that planning is everything. Start on time when looking for an internship! Also, a desk job is not as bad as it is made out to be.”
“It took some getting used to, because it was a new experience for me. But I have learned a lot about Edinburgh and about the Scottish culture. The internship and preparation were also a great learning experience for possible future internships.”
“Also it taught me that sometimes climbing up the ladder and chasing your dreams takes time, lots of time, and lots of effort. This, for me, was very inspirational and educational.”
